Tickets are now available for two performances of an eclectic and entertaining year-end dance production by students in the city’s Recreation and Parks Department dance program.
The performances are scheduled for 11 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 14 at the Mountlake Terrace High School Theater, 21801 44th Avenue West.
Dances are presented by all ages and in many styles, including Ballet, Egyptian Belly Dance, Hawaiian Hula, Hip Hop, Jazz, Tap and the cutest little ones having their first stage experience.
Each dance instructor/choreographer has contributed a dance about the colors of the rainbow to the show. The Dance Program Director Chloe Davenport and Mountlake Terrace Theater Director Dave Dolackey have woven all of these thoughtful ideas into a show titled “The Rainbow of Life.”
“Whether folks have family in the show or just want to see what the dance community has been up to this school year, they are warmly welcomed,” said Davenport. “Come support the fantastic, hard work and bravery of the dancers and their instructors while being thoroughly entertained.”
Tickets are on sale for $9 through www.brownpapertickets.com until June 10. After that, tickets will be sold during dress rehearsals and one hour before each show at the Mountlake Terrace High School Theater. For ticket information, please call 425-640-1448.
