MLT police schedule personal defense, safety class for May 30

MLT Police DepartmentWith the March 28 class full, the Mountlake Terrace Police Department has scheduled a second opportunity for residents wanting to receive training and safety tips concerning personal defense and firearm options.

The department is offering the seminar entitled “Personal Defense and Discussing Personal Safety Tips, on Thursday, May 30, 6-9 p.m., at the Mountlake Terrace Library.

The free course offers resources, training and insights in topics that include personal awareness, pre-incident indicators, do’s and don’t’s in firearms use, family emergence planning and options in personal defense equipment, including firearms. The course is taught by Sergeant Pat Lowe, a 17-year law enforcement officer and Certified Firearms Instructor with the Mountlake Terrace Police Department.
