The Mountlake Terrace Police Department will be one of dozens of law enforcement agencies represented at the memorial service of Washington State Trooper Sean O’Connell, scheduled to take place on Thursday, June 6, at Comcast Arena in Everett. O’Connell died in the line of duty after the motorcycle he was riding collided with a truck on May 31 in Mount Vernon.
Hundreds of law enforcement officers are expected to attend the three-hour service starting at 1:00 p.m.
“We have five to six people, including myself, that will be attending,” said Mountlake Terrace Police Department Commander Doug Hansen. Those who will be in the Mountlake Terrace contingent had yet to be determined late Wednesday.
