Transit-oriented development, Sound Transit light rail, and other transportation topics will be discussed at the Mountlake Terrace Planning Commission’s Monday, June 11 public meeting, 7 p.m. at the Interim City Hall Council Chambers. The meeting is the last one before the City Council begins similar discussions at its work/study session set for Thursday, June 14.
The city is completing a grant-funded study of ways to make transportation and energy usage more efficient; a final part of this work is the transit-oriented development study. The study considers many aspects of city planning for Mountlake Terrace, including land use, density, development and transportation.
Besides getting input at the public meeting, the city is posting an online survey at www.surveymonkey.com/s/TODStudy.
Other information is available on the city’s website. Interim City Hall Council Chambers is located on the second floor of the Redstone Building, 6100 219th St. S.W.
