Summer is coming, and apparently kids are anxious for it to come.
Registrations for Mountlake Terrace Recreation and Parks Department summer camps at the Recreation Pavilion are up this year compared to numbers at the same time last year — 676 for 2013 vs. 528 in 2012.
City officials attribute the higher number of registrations partially to an increased marketing effort to current enrollees of preschool and before-and-after school programs.
Summer camp programs are offered at the Recreation Pavilion beginning the week of June 24 and running through Aug. 30 for ages 3-18. City recreation staff recommend registering as soon as possible as some camp weeks fill to capacity. You can register here.
