A Mountlake Terrace man who doesn’t want to be named went to a nearby E-Z Corner Mart earlier this week to buy milk and bread. He also bought a 7-11-21 Scratch card.

He went home and scratched his ticket and found out he was a $50,000 winner.

“I usually play Scratch, but just decided to buy this particular ticket on a whim,” he said. “I can’t believe I won.”

The man told Lottery officials he plans to surprise his wife with the win and give her some of the prize money so she can visit a friend in Utah. He also plans to give some money to his kids so they can fix their cars.

Other than what he gives to family, the man says he wants to put as much money in the bank as possible.

The man comes to the E-Z Corner Mart, located at 24325 56th Ave. W., almost every day, according to the store’s owner. The store had another $50,000 winner in Dec. 2014.
