
The Mountlake Terrace Library, is conjunction with Seattle Tilth, is offering a series of four free classes on city farming beginning this Saturday, Oct. 20. The first session will be an introduction to owning and maintaining chickens; subsequent classes will cover food preservation, organic gardening and compost systems.
The classes are scheduled to be taught by representatives from Seattle Tilth, a non-profit organic gardening and urban ecology organization.
Registration for the classes is recommended; interested participants are encouraged to register online or call 425-776-8722.

The City Farming Series is made available by the support of the Mountlake Terrace Friends of the Library. The library is located at 23300-58th Ave. W. in Mountlake Terrace.
