MLT Library to provide Affordable Care Act resources starting Thursday

Do you have questions about the Affordable Care Act, familiarly known as Obamacare? Do you wonder if you are eligible for Medicaid or government subsidies for private insurance? Are you having problems logging into or navigating Washington state’s health exchange website? Help is available at the Mountlake Terrace Library.

WithinReach, a not-for-profit organization that helps individuals and families connect with health care options, programs and resources, will have representatives available at the library to answer questions and assist with completing enrollment applications on four Thursdays in November and December. The next information and assistance session is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 21, 2:30 – 5:30 p.m., with additional sessions Dec. 5, 12 and 19, 2:30-6 p.m.

For those seeking assistance with applying for health care coverage available through the state exchange, WithinReach advises applicants to bring their Social Security number or some other official form of identification, in addition to their date of birth, tax filing status for 2012, 2013 and 2014, and information on their current health plan. A credit card, debit card or other form of electronic payment may be necessary to complete the application process.

The Mountlake Terrace Library is located at 23300-58th Ave. W..
