MLT Library hosting three kid-friendly events in December

Kids can come in from the cold and heat up their creative imaginations at three events this month at the Mountlake Terrace Library.

On Saturday, Dec. 7, kids and their parents can participate together in Make and Take Crafts. Library staff will supply materials and provide assistance in a variety of craft-making activities. The event is scheduled for 2-4 p.m. in the library’s large meeting room.

Kids ages 5-11 can try their hand at building on Wednesday, Dec. 11 during LEGO’s in the Library. Participants are encouraged to work independently or in teams using books supplied by library staff for inspiration and structural ideas. The library will provide all the LEGOs too! The event takes place in the library’s large meeting room from 6:30-7:30 p.m.

On Saturday, Dec. 14, kids ages 5-11 can join in on some fun experiments using candy, marshmellows and other yummy treats. Winter Extravaganza – Sweet Science takes is set for 2-3:30 p.m.

The Mountlake Terrace Library is located at 23300-58th Ave. W. Various programs at the library this month and throughout the year are sponsored by the Friends of the Mountlake Terrace Library. You can view a listing of all the events at the library in December here.
