MLT City Council votes 7-0 to place civic center bond issue on August ballot

The Mountlake Terrace City Council voted 7-0 Monday night to place a $25-million capital bond issue on the Aug. 7 primary election ballot for the proposed construction of a new civic center housing city hall offices, a new police station and a new community/senior activities center.

The City Council will next consider formally endorsing the bond measure at its April 16 council meeting. Discussion of the endorsement is schedule for the council’s April 12 Work/Study Session. Both meetings will be held in the council chambers at Interim City Hall, 6100-219th St. SW, Suite 200, at 7 p.m.
