The Mountlake Terrace High School boys tennis season came to a close this week as members of the team lost their early-round matches at the 3A South Division Tournament at Glacier Peak High School.
In doubles’ matches, seniors Kandin Neri and Tim Ho lost to the team of Chris Sato and Nick North of Shorecrest, 6-2, 6-0. Sato and North went on to defeat the top-seeded team in the tournament in their next match. In another match-up, senior AnhViet Nguyen and junior Bryce Pingul lost to the Glacier Peak team of Max Everett and Devin Remlinger, 6-4, 6-3.
In singles’ competition, Hawk sophomore Brandon Park was defeated by Jamie Wright of Shorewood, 6-0, 6-1, and sophomore Colin Rhodes lost to Meadowdale’s Bret Matysik, 6-1, 6-1.
