Mountlake Terrace-based 1st Security Bank this week announced two staffing changes: the promotion of Craig Brown to vice president, indirect sales, and the hiring of Ron Claessen as senior vice president, commercial lending.
Brown will lead the company’s home improvement lending and marine financing divisions, covering markets in both Washington and Oregon. He has more than 25 years’ experience working in the Pacific Northwest, and he has been instrumental in establishing the marine financing program and making contacts with dealers in Washington and Oregon.
Before taking a job at 1st Security Bank, he worked at Key Bank, Capital One and Ford Motor Credit Company.
Claessen, a graduate of the Pacific Coast Banking School at the University of Washington, has more than 30 years of experience in the industry.
Prior to joining 1st Security Bank, he held positions in middle marketing lending with US Bank and Sterling Savings Bank.
