A celebration of life for local softball coach Mike Watson of Mountlake Terrace has been scheduled for 3 p.m. Wednesday, Aug 29 at The Alderwood Community Church, 3403 Alderwood Mall Blvd., Lynnwood.
According to the note on the Team Kellie Facebook page, which had been set up before Watson’s death to support his wife Kellie while she went through cancer treatment, “Mike would request athletic attire – no pants!”
A gathering will follow the memorial service at the Buzz Inn, 9900 Airport Way, Snohomish, at 6 p.m.
Watson, 48, died Friday, Aug. 17 after suffering a heart attack earlier in the week. He is survived by his wife Kellie and daughters Kayla and Kelsey.
An account has been set up at BECU for Kellie Watson and her daughters. Monetary donations can be made at any BECU branch to The Michael Watson Benevolent Account. Be sure to confirm that Melissa Reid is the administrator and Kellie Watson is the beneficiary. Reid would appreciate a text at 425-773-0299 so she can confirm the deposit.
