The Mountlake Terrace Arts Advisory Commission presents the Michael Hesler Exhibit at the Mountlake Terrace Library, 23300 58th Ave. W. The exhibit features photos by local photographer Michael Hesler.
Michael Hesler was born and raised about a half mile from Disneyland in Anaheim, Calif. When he was 10 years old, his father gave him a brownie camera for his birthday and he’s been an avid photographer ever since.
Hesler studied photography in high school and learned to see things with an artistic eye. He began painting and drawing, which he credits with making his photographs even better. “I carry a camera constantly and am always looking for the right light on the right subject at the right time,” said Hesler.
The Mountlake Terrace Arts Advisory Commission oversees the library exhibits as part of its mission to promote cultural events in the community.
The show runs through Sept. 30 at the Mountlake Terrace Library, Mondays through Thursdays, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Fridays, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays 1 to 5 p.m.
