A memorial service has been scheduled for this Saturday, Jan. 3 for Corydon T. “Cory” Rice, father to Brad and Jordan Rice, who died unexpectedly on Christmas Eve.

The service will be at 11 a.m. at the Edmonds Conference Center, 201 4th Ave. N.

Mr. Rice is survived by two his sons, Brad and Jordan, two sisters, two nieces, and one nephew; his sister-in-law, one great-niece, two uncles, one aunt and nine cousins.

Meanwhile, the GoFundMe campaign started to help Brad and Jordan Rice pay for their father’s funeral costs and other expenses is close to its goal. A fundraiser has been scheduled at Taki Tiki in downtown Edmonds from 4 p.m. to close Tuesday, Dec. 30, with 20 percent of purchases going to the Rice family.
