Memorial Day in MLT

Mountlake Terrace was, in some respects, built for World War II veterans. In the early 1950’s, development in Mountlake Terrace was booming as the economy was good and World War II veterans were starting family’s and settling down.

It’s no surpirse that there are so many flags out today. Be sure to stop by Calvary Tabernacle on 56th/236th to see the display they have. Here’s some photos from around town.

  1. Please pass on to Calvary Temple my appreciation for the Memorial Day display on their grounds. It really means a lot to me. My oldest brother served under Patton in Germany near the end of the WW II. My brother, who is 5 years older than I, served in Germany from 1960. I served in the states from 1964-66
