South Snohomish County’s own premier development league soccer team — the North Sound Seawolves — prepares to take the field for its home opener at Edmonds District Stadium Saturday afternoon. We are presenting the first in a series of profiles about the players:

Name: Brady Ballew

Hometown: Marysville, Wash.
Position: Midfield/Forward
College: Seattle University, senior, Strategic Communications.

Family: Parents Jim and Mary Ann, brothers Ben (28) and Jeff (27).
Favorite soccer moment: Signing with Seattle University with my dad by my side.
Favorite soccer player: Marco Reus, Borussia Dortmund/Germany
Favorite non-soccer sport: Snowboarding
Favorite non-soccer athlete: Charles Barkley, Retired NBA star
Favorite food: Anything my dad makes
Interests outside of soccer: Music, being on the water and traveling.
What’s something fans should know about you: I have a beautiful new niece named Beatrice!

Saturday’s game starts at 1 p.m. at Edmonds Stadium, 7600 212th St. S.W., Edmonds.
