From Tuesday through Thursday, the race for Mountlake Terrace City Council position 3 kept getting closer. McCardle was ahead of Funk by 130 votes on Tuesday, 109 Wednesday and 85 Thursday. Friday’s count is now in and it appears as if McCardle may be pulling away. He currently has a 130 vote lead. There are still somewhere around 1,000 votes left to count but Funk would need to get nearly 60% of the remaining vote to get ahead. So it’s still too close to call a winner but Andrew Funk even said himself that “it will take a miracle to pull this off.”

Snohomish County will release the next vote count on Monday.
