Vandalism and graffiti are not exactly a rare occurrence on the stretch of Cedar Way/44th Ave W between 236th and Cedar Plaza. The sign for Markland Woods apartments has been a regular victim. People say that every couple of weeks one of the metal letters go missing and the flowers regularly get torn up. Recently, Markland Woods put up two new signs on either side of the entrance and within a few days one of them had been vandalized.
Just as a reminder, if you see anything suspicious don’t hesitate to call 9-1-1 and if you see any new vandalism report it to the MLT PD as soon as possible. You can reach the Mountlake Terrace Police for non-emergencies during business hours at (425) 670-8260.
Please help us out by reporting anyone you see vandalizing these signs. It’s homeowner’s dues down the drain!

If vanalisim is common, why not install security cameras and catch whoever is doing this in the act?
