For the 14th year in a row, the City of Mountlake Terrace’s Community Police Advisory Board will host National Night Out (NNO) Against Crime to raise awareness about crime and drug prevention, and strengthen neighborhood spirit and partnerships. The City’s award-winning Night Out is scheduled for 6:00-9:00 PM Tuesday, August 3, at Evergreen Playfields.
Mountlake Terrace’s NNO event began in 1996, and has grown in size and effort each year since. It is part of a national endeavor under the guise of “America’s Night out Against Crime” that involves more than 10,000 communities in all 50 states, U.S. territories and military bases worldwide. The NNO event, which includes a wide range of family friendly music and entertainment will showcase local services and service organizations and involves citizens, law enforcement agencies, civic groups, businesses, neighborhood organizations and local officials.
I love NNO! I love to see all my neighbors. We have a collection from the caricature artist who comes every year, Steve Hartley. It’s fun to see how my kids grow every year in cartoon. I love it!
