The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s office announced Monday the identity of a man found dead last week inside a tent along the Interurban Trail near 220th Street Southwest in Mountlake Terrace. The deceased is Matthew Leathers, 29; he had no known address.

Mountlake Terrace police found the man inside a tent set up in the bushes between the trail and the Red Dragon Casino on Wednesday, April 11. Police also found drug paraphernalia inside.

When MLTnews went to the site Sunday, garbage and a bicycle was seen outside the tent.

Although in close proximity to 220th Street Southwest, the Interurban Trail and the Red Dragon Casino, the tent site was somewhat hidden from view by brush.

The medical examiner has not yet determined the cause of death.
