A low-cost walk-in health clinic is now open on Sundays in Lynnwood.

The Community Health Center of Snohomish County’s Lynnwood clinic, located at 4111 194th St. SW., is its only walk-in location. On Sunday, it is now open from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. During the week, it’s open from 8 a.m. until 7 p.m.

Saturdays, Christmas and Thanksgiving are the only days the clinic is not open.

This week will be its third Sunday opening.

“The first Sunday was pretty good. It picked up more last week,” Community Relations Manager Mallory Lisk said. “So far, we’ve only promoted it through our other clinics.”

The average wait time is 15 to 20 minutes, but it can get up to 45 minutes on a busy day. Patients can look at the wait time before they leave home on the Community Health Center website.

The Community Health Center of Snohomish County serves customers with Washington Apple Health plans, private insurances, Medicare or without insurance. They offer health and dental services. There is a discount pharmacy on site.

You don’t need to be a Community Health Center patient to use the Lynnwood drop-in clinic.

Community Health Center of Snohomish County has five locations in the county. The Lynnwood clinic was turned into a walk-in clinic because of the demand for walk-in service. At the other locations, patients would drop in to try to fill empty appointment slots.

“It’s not very good customer service to do that,” Lisk said.

Now, customers can get help just about anytime they need it.

“Here to serve the entire county. Now, we can serve anyone in need of care Sunday through Friday,” Lisk said.
