It’s only December 2nd and already Mountlake Terrace is lit up with holiday lights. This year, MLTnews and the Red Onion have teamed up to create a Mountlake Terrace Holiday Lights map so that you can head out an see all the great lights displays around town.

We will be updating the map as the month goes on but we’ve pulled together the first version and there are several ways you can browser it:

As the month goes on we will add new lights display and more notes to help you find the best ones. Several homes/neighborhoods are taking donations for the Mountlake Terrace Food bank so bring some donations/non-perishable food items along if you would like to donate.

If there are any great lights displays that we have missed let us know by filling out this form.

To further encourage MLT residents to go all out with their holiday decorations, MLTnews and the Red Onion are putting some prizes in to the mix. From now until December 13, we will be taking nominations for the best holiday lights display for a single home/business. From the 14th-20th we will open up voting and you will decide who has the best holiday lights display in Mountlake Terrace.

The following prizes will be awarded:

• Grand Prize: $150 cash (to help you pay your electricity bill)
• 2nd Place: $50 Gift Card to the Red Onion
• 3rd Place: $25 Gift Card to the Red Onion
