Mountlake Terrace, Brier libraries offer kids programs next week

Sno-Isle Libraries logoThe Mountlake Terrace and Brier libraries are doing their part to keep kids entertained and educated this summer.

The Mountlake Terrace Library is hosting a Summer Family Movie Night at 6:30 p.m., Monday, July 14. Popcorn and drinks will be provided. Call 425-776-8722 to find out what’s playing. Then at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, July 15, the Friends of the Brier Library present Animal Habitats. Kids (suggested 5-11) can discover how animals and plants in our area depend on each other to survive in the a variety of ecosystems. Kids then will get creative with a selection of fun nature crafts.

Friends of the Lynnwood Library present Discover Shells! at 2 p.m., Wednesday July 16 at the Brier Library. Shells are nature’s work of art. Have you ever wondered who lived in those shells you find on the beach, or why they look so different? The program will explore the science and beauty of seashells with pieces from around the world. Take home a bag of shells to start your own collection. The program is for children ages 6-11.
