Letter to the editor: Appreciation and thank you from Mountlake Terrace Food Bank

mltnews

Dear Editor:

Concern For Neighbors Food Bank in Mountlake Terrace would like to thank all of the organizations and families in our community that held food drives for our food bank during 2014.

Your generosity is outstanding. Your donations help sustain us throughout the year. We especially would like to thank The Hubbard Family Foundation and The Hazel Miller Foundation for their on-going support which enables us to run our food bank (Hubbard) and purchase extra dairy (Hazel Miller) during each month.

Also, our thanks to the grocery stores (QFC, Albertsons, Fred Meyer, Safeway, Grocery Outlet, Rogers, Central Market, Ballard Market and Thriftway/Ballinger, to name a few) who continue to donate to our cause along with schools in the Edmonds School District that hold food drives for us throughout the school year. We could not help those in need without the help of our individual donors, local companies and local churches who continue to support us year in and year out.

Also our heartfelt thanks to the other food banks in Snohomish County who are hard at work throughout the year taking care of those in need in their area. They do not always receive the thanks they should for their continuing efforts. On behalf of the Board of Directors and all our volunteers and clients, we wish everyone in our community a prosperous and healthy 2015.

  1. Diamond Knot enjoyed being part of your fundraising efforts in the month of December. I know the drive and fundraising day definitely raised awareness of your organization. Thank you for all you do for our community!
