LEGO event at MLT Library full, but you can be placed on waiting list

LEGO logoLEGOS are everywhere these days: in the toy store, at the movie theater, and at the library.

Proving the popularity of the construction toys, registration for a LEGO-themed program at the Mountlake Terrace Library on Saturday, March 15, is full. But the library is still accepting the names of children ages 8-12 to be placed on a waiting list if space opens up for the event. Click here to complete the waiting list registration.

The Build Your Own Robot program will team up participants in pairs to design and construct a small operating robot utilizing LEGO pieces. Software will enable the creations to move and produce sound. The event is designed to introduce school-aged boys and girls in the functionality of science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

The library is also offering another opportunity for kids ages 5-11 to work and play with LEGOS without the software technology on Wednesday, March 12, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. This is a drop-in program with no registration required.

Both programs are sponsored by the Friends of the Mountlake Terrace Library. The library is located at 23300-58th Ave. W.
