Learn about whales and how to make Lava lamps at Mountlake Terrace Library

Sno-Isle Libraries logoThe Mountlake Terrace Library has two programs this week to keep kids entertained and even educated.

Check out Whale Tales at 2 p.m., Tuesday, July 29. School age children can discover amazing facts about these giants of the sea, many of which live in our own ‘backyard’. Experience up close baleen from a bowhead whale, an ear bone from a fin whale, the upper jaw of an orca, and the skull of a harbor porpoise, all from the Burke Museum. The program is supported by the Friends of the Mukilteo Library.

Teens can learn how to make a Lava lamp at 2 p.m, Wednesday, July 30. Discover how to make a reaction with your own lava lamp from items you can find in your kitchen. Also, learn about library resources to help your creative sparks fly. The program is upported by Friends of the Mountlake Terrace Library. Registration required. Go here.
