Learn more about low-cost home energy-efficiency audits in MLT June 14

SustainableWorks, a non-profit home energy conservation consultant, is hosting an informational meeting for local residents considering energy efficiency upgrades to their homes. The meeting is scheduled for Thursday, June 14, 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Mountlake Terrace Library.

SustainableWorks offers property owners assistance in assessing and retrofitting homes to be more energy-efficient. The non-profit coordinates home inspections, consultations, project management and financing for the homeowner. Initial property audits are offered at a subsidized rate of $95.

The non-profit operates from Community Energy Efficiency Pilot funds, part of the 2009 Federal Stimulus Package, and claims to have assisted more than 500 homeowners with energy audits in Spokane, Seattle, North King County and South Snohomish County.
