Second District Congressman Rick Larsen will make his ninth appearance in the Mountlake Terrace/Brier area this year when he visits the new Mountlake Terrace Community Senior Center, 23300 Lakeview Drive, on Monday, Dec. 9.
The center, formerly known as the Ballinger Clubhouse, is currently being renovated to better serve the needs of the Mountlake Terrace Senior Center group. The seniors signed a five-year lease last month to manage the city-owned facility and utilize it for their various programs and events.
Following a 30-minute tour of the facility, Larsen will meet with the Verdant Health Commission to discuss health care and the commission’s work supporting health and well-being programs in South Snohomish County. Verdant is the service program of Public Hospital District No. 2 of Snohomish County, an area that includes Mountlake Terrace, Brier, Lynnwood, Edmonds, Woodway, portions of Bothell and unincorporated Snohomish County.
