Congressman Rick Larsen (D-2nd District) is inviting constituents to join him for a public meeting in Lynnwood Saturday, Nov. 14 about the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) trade agreement and other issues that are important to those attending. The meeting will be from 9:30-11 a.m. in the Lynnwood High School Theater, 18218 North Road.

Larsen wants to hear constituents’ thoughts and questions about the TPP, a trade agreement between the U.S. and 11 other countries. He also will take questions about other issues that are on constituents’ minds.

According to an article published earlier this week by our online news partner The Seattle Times, the TPP is the largest trade agreement in U.S. history. Negotiated in secret and highly complex, the deal has drawn charges of corporate cronyism. Defenders say it is a high-standard, 21st century trade agreement for the United States and 11 other Pacific nations, the Times story said.
