The design for the Lakeview Trail project is nearing completion and an open house will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 30, at the Mickey Corso Community Clubhouse at Ballinger Park.
There will be a short presentation at 7 p.m. The Lakeview Trail project will construct safe, convenient, and strategically located bicycle and pedestrian facilities that provide an east-west link across the city. The trail will connect the Interurban Trail at 228th Street SW and Mountlake Terrace Transit Center and Freeway Station via Lakeview Drive.
Federal funding is providing 80 percent of the analysis and design costs of the project, and 84 percent of the construction costs. The anticipated construction cost is $2.48 million.
