
The Mountlake Terrace City Council at their Oct. 1 meeting appointed Kim Michel to the Planning Commission to fill an interim vacancy. The term runs through June 30, 2014.
Michel has served on numerous volunteer city boards and commissions, most recently on Community Policing Advisory Board.
The seven-member Planning Commission makes recommendations to the City Council about community development issues, especially those affecting future land use and growth. Responsibilities include making recommendations on the City’s Comprehensive Plan and development code updates.
The Planning Commission meets the second and fourth Monday of each month at interim City Hall, 6100-219th St. S.W.
