The Mountlake Terrace Recreation and Parks Department is offering a Junior Lifeguarding course from Aug. 18-22 at the Pavilion Pool.
This American Red Cross course is a fun, action-packed program for youth ages 11-14. Participants learn about the prevention of aquatic accidents, improve swimming stroke mechanics, endurance and strength, basic first aid and CPR skills, how to search and apply for a job and the importance of community service.
All days include option swim time from 1:40-2:40. This course is not a certification class. The course is from 11 a.m.-:1:30 p.m. Fee is $75.
