The Mountlake Terrace Arts Advisory Commission presents the Josey Wise Exhibit at the Mountlake Terrace Library, 23300 58th Ave. W., during the month of November. The exhibit features oil paintings by Northwest artist Josey Wise. The show runs through Nov. 30, Mondays through Thursdays, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Fridays, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays 1 to 5 p.m.
Originally from western Montana, Wise enjoys working from nature as an inspiration, including landscapes, flora and fauna, then using strong colors and expressive strokes to create an image that is both representative and slightly abstracted.
Wise and her husband Marc are owners of WiseDesignz Framing & Gallery in Everett and live in the city with their children Sid and Saylor.
The Mountlake Terrace Arts Advisory Commission oversees the library exhibits as part of its mission to promote cultural events in the community.
