Mountlake Terrace High School student athletes Jasmine Zenk and Brock Davis are being honored by their coaches this month. They have been selected for a monthly feature put on by the school’s Sports Booster Club.

Zenk and Davis are the featured students in the February Athlete Highlights program and will profiled on posters being displayed this month in local businesses and community centers.

Zenk, a sophomore member of the Terrace girls’ basketball team, was selected by Coach Jessica Anissipour.

“She is such a hard worker and as a coach I appreciate what she brings to the table daily,” Anissipour said. “Along with her great work ethic, she also has such a great attitude on and off the court. Jasmine has averaged 7.2 points per game with the team averaging 27 points per game. She has been our leading scorer the majority of the season and is a pleasure to coach.”

Davis has seen limited playing time with the Terrace boys’ basketball team due to an injury, but his attitude during a difficult season led Coach Nalin Sood to select Davis for the Athlete Highlights poster.

“I cannot emphasize how disappointed myself and his teammates were when we found out about his injury,” Sood said. “Despite this, Brock has shown great character by what a supportive and selfless teammate he is by continuing to show up for practices, team meetings and all team activities. He is still a key part of our team and our success. Brock is helping our team in ways that go beyond jump shots and good defense.”

The MTHS Sports Booster Club honors student athletes throughout the year from all 21 sports offered at the school. To learn more about the Athlete Highlights program and the Sports Booster Club, visit their website.
