The photography of Janet Graham will be featured in the art exhibit at the Mountlake Terrace Library during the month of November.
“Photography has always been a part of my varied interests,” Graham said. “It wasn’t until I moved to the Pacific Northwest that I took it seriously as a medium to express myself and add it to my love of traveling and the outdoors.”
Graham, a member of the Puget Sound Camera Club, attends photo tours once a year and has traveled throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, Peru, Europe and Guatemala. “I enjoy learning about my destination I am traveling to and the culture surrounding the area. When I am traveling with other photographers, I learn from them other perspectives of viewing and capturing it’s essence that I do not possess,” said Graham.
The Janet Graham Photography Exhibit begins on Friday, Nov. 1, and runs through November at the Mountlake Terrace Library, 23300-58th Avenue West. The show can be view during normal library hours: Mondays through Thursdays, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Fridays, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Sundays 1 to 5 p.m.
The monthly art exhibits at the library are presented by the Mountlake Terrace Arts Advisory Commission as part of its mission to promote cultural events in the community.
