A wild two-vehicle accident on southbound I-5 through Mountlake Terrace Wednesday afternoon miraculously ended with no injuries, the Washington State Patrol said.
An unsafe lane change by one of the vehicles sent both off the freeway just before the exit to State Route 104 at the King-Snohomish County line just before 2 p.m. One vehicle rolled over onto its side, then caught fire.
The State Patrol had one lane of southbound I-5 at the scene of the accident closed intermittently for two hours to give emergency personnel and tow trucks access to the scene. All lanes of southbound I-5 through Mountlake Terrace were clear and open for traffic by 4 p.m.
