Three units of the T Building of the Taluswood Apartments were damaged in a two-alarm fire Friday morning. No injuries were reported, said Snohomish County Fire District 1 spokeswoman Leslie Hynes. Firefighters did rescue a dog from the fire; he was placed on oxygen and rushed to the vet by his owners, Hynes added.
The fire was called in at 8:20 a.m. and was brought under control within 20 minutes. Fire units from Lynnwood, Shoreline and Bothell assisted Fire District 1 in fighting the fire in the three-story building located at the south end of the Cedar Way entrance, Hynes said.
Fire officials were still working Friday morning to determine how many resident were displaced by the fire, and the cause of the blaze, Hynes said.
The Red Cross and Support 7 were on the scene as was a crew from Snohomish County PUD.
This is the second time in two years that Taluswood has been hit by fire. Two units in the J Building of the complex were heavily damaged in April 2012 after incense in a third-floor unit ignited combustibles placed nearby.
