Initial primary election results: Maralyn Chase ahead in 32nd District race, Robert Reedy running second

In the 32nd District, Democratic incumbent State Sen. Maralyn Chase was comfortably ahead in early primary returns over her Democratic challenger Chris Eggen, leading 49 percent to 19 percent. Republican Robert Reedy of Mountlake Terrace received 31 percent of the vote.
The 32nd District, which covers portions of southwest Snohomish County and includes Lynnwood and Woodway, and parts of Edmonds and Mountlake Terrace,

In the 32nd District Representative Position 2 race, Incumbent Democrat Ruth Kagi was leading Edmonds resident and Republican Alvin Rutledge by a margin of 67 percent to 33 percent. Cindy Ryu was running unopposed for the 32nd District Position 1 seat.
In the U.S. District 2 Representative race, Democratic incumbent Rick Larsen garnered 54.23 percent of the vote (19,618), comfortably ahead of Republican B.J. Guillot (33.48 percent, 12,112) and Independent candidate Mike Lapointe (11.56 percent, 4,182).
