Tickets are now on sale for the 21st annual Hot Java Cool Jazz concert on Friday, March 25, an event that will include performances from the jazz bands of both Edmonds-Woodway and Mountlake Terrace high schools.
Hot Java Cool Jazz, sponsored by Starbucks and the Seattle Theatre Group, will take place at the Paramount Theater in Seattle. Showtime is 7 p.m.
All proceeds from the event will go to the school music programs of the five jazz bands performing in the concert. In 2015, more than $55,000 in ticket sales were distributed to the participating schools.
Tickets for this year’s show are $22 plus any applicable fees and can be purchased online here. Tickets can also be purchased at participating Starbucks stores, with 100 percent of sales proceeds going directly to a specific school’s music program. The Music Booster Clubs at Edmonds-Woodway and Mountlake Terrace High School also have tickets available for purchase.
In addition to the jazz bands from Edmonds-Woodway and Mountlake Terrace high schools, the bands from Garfield, Roosevelt and Mount Si High Schools will be on this year’s Hot Java Cool Jazz program.
