Homestreet Bank Robber Hits again in Shoreline and Milton

The man believed to have robbed the Homestreet Bank in Mountlake Terrace on May 31st may have robbed two more banks on June 8.

On May 31st, the suspect passed a note to the Homestreet Bank clerk implying that he had a weapon and fled on foot.

According to our friends at Shoreline Area News, the Ballinger Branch of the Whidbey Island Bank, 20333 Ballinger Way NE, was robbed Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at 11:13 am. The lone suspect left on foot. He was given a packet of money containing a dye pack, which exploded a block or two away, sending a cloud of orange smoke into the air.

Just about 90 minutes after the Shoreline robbery, the Bank of America branch in Milton was robbed by a man fitting the same description as the man who robbed the Homestreet Bank and Whidbey Island Bank robberies.

The suspect is described as a black man, about 6 feet tall, 200 pounds, with sunglasses.

Anyone who recognizes the suspect in the photos below is asked to call the King County Sheriff’s Office at (206) 296-3311 or 911.
