Holly House, a Children’s Holiday Gift Program serving about 2,000 students in the Edmonds School District, is partnering with Wal-Mart and the Treasure Island Pirates for a toy and pajama drive this Saturday, Dec. 8.
The Treasure House Pirates will have their ship moored in front of the Wal-Mart store at 1400-164th St. S.W. in Lynnwood from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., collecting toys and pajamas for the Holly House kids. The pirate’s goal is to fill the ship with donation booty.
“Many of our children go to school without socks and underwear, don’t have coats and go to bed cold,” said Holly House Director Pam Martinez. “This toy and pajama drive will help to give our kids a warm and happy Christmas.”
Holly House, in its sixth year, is a volunteer-run non-profit organization that collects and provides toys and clothing necessities to poverty-level children in Mountlake Terrace, Lynnwood, Edmonds and Shoreline.
