Local nonprofit Holly House posted a request for donations of 13-inch by 13-inch gift bags (or bags of similar size) with draw strings.
According to the Monday post, the organization usually has about 2,000 such bags to fill with goodies for the kids they provide holiday gifts for. They currently have 400.
Holly House prefers to use cotton draw-string bags so the kids can use them to store their smaller belongings throughout the year. That is also why the organization prefers larger bags.
Holly House also needs more donations of warm pajamas, socks and toys for boys and girls ages 6 through 12.
Holly House also has an Amazon wishlist available by clicking here. Items ordered online can be delivered directly to Holly House.
Donations of cloth bags, or donations of gifts for Holly House, can be delivered to Sparta’s Pizza and Spaghetti House, located at 17630 Highway 99 in Lynnwood, or the Mountlake Terrace Senior Center, located at 23000 Lakeview Dr. in Mountlake Terrace, through Thursday. On Friday and Saturday, they can be brought to Community Life Center, located at 19820 Scriber Lake Rd. in Lynnwood, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
