With Christmas and New Year’s Day falling on Wednesdays this year, Mountlake Terrace residents will see a change in their garbage, recycling and yard waste pick-ups over the next two weeks. Waste Management pick-ups will take place on Thursday, Dec. 26 and Thursday, Jan. 2; no collections will be done on the two holidays.

All city residents will have their garbage collected on the next two Thursdays. For residents living north of 228th Street SW, food and yard waste will be picked-up on Dec. 26, while recycling will be collected on Jan. 2. For residents who live south of 228th Street Southwest, recycling will be picked up on Dec. 26, food and yard waste will be collected on Jan. 2.
