High school hoops fans can get their fill in MLT this week

There’s plenty of high school tournament basketball for hoop fans to take in this week, starting with a loser-out game featuring the girls team from Cedar Park Christian – MLT on Tuesday night.

Cedar Park Christian – MLT girls are battling to stay alive in the 1B Northwest District Tournament after a 34-29 loss to Grace Academy of Marysville on Saturday. After a two-point first quarter, the Lions came roaring back to make a game of it against the Eagles, but their comeback fell five points short.

The Lions host Lummi Nation at Cedar Park Christian School in Mountlake Terrace on Tuesday, Feb. 5; tipoff is set for 7 p.m. The season ends for the loser of the match-up, while the winner will play Thursday night for a spot in the 1B Tri-District Tournament.

The boys team from Cedar Park Christian – MLT plays in its next district game Wednesday night against Tulalip Heritage at Mount Vernon Christian School. Start time is 6:30 p.m.

In the 3A Boys Northwest District Tournament, the Mountlake Terrace Hawks will take on Marysville-Gretchell Wednesday, Feb. 6, at Mountlake Terrace High School; tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. The game will be broadcast live on the Hawks Live Sports Network on MLTnews.com.
