Arrrrre you harboring a secret passion for the pirate life? Do we have an opportunity for you!

The Seafair Pirates are now accepting applications from those 21 and older wanting to join their volunteer crew of buccaneers. Information and applications can be found here. For more information, the Seafair Pirates organization can be reached at 206-521-3300, or at P.O. Box 30674, Greenwood Station, Seattle, WA 98113.

The Seafair Pirates originally banded together in 1949 in conjunction with the first Seafair to promote the Seattle summer celebration while having fun and serving the community. Despite their bad-guy image, the Pirates make dozens of appearances annually at hospitals, nursing homes and charity fund raisers. During the height of Seattle’s Seafair Celebration, they appear at several events and parades each day.

The pirates are scheduled to make their annual appearance in Mountlake Terrace at this year’s Tour de Terrace Parade on July 25.
