Ballinger Park is the site for two community events on Saturday, Sept. 13.
The Mountlake Terrace Senior Center is hosting the Ballinger Treasures Swap-n-Shop from 9 a.m. — 6 p.m.
Shoppers will have the opportunity to browse art, crafts, and collectibles. This is a rain or shine outdoor event. The Mountlake Terace Senior Center will host a Community Breakfast from 8:30 — 10 a.m. and then hot dogs and sandwiches will be available for purchase all day.
People interested in participating in the Parks Volunteer Cleanup Day should meet in the Lake Ballinger Community Center parking lot at 9 a.m. in comfortable work clothes, with gardening gloves and tools in hand.
The clean-up day is scheduled from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. The Recreation Park Advisory Commission (RPAC) and the Neighborhood Park Improvement Subcommittee (NPIS) invites the community to join them for a park cleanup event that coincides with the National “Day of Service” in remembrance of September 11.
For more information about these events or other volunteer opportunities, please call Parks and Facilities Superintendent Ken Courtmanch at 425-776-1811 or access the City’s website at www.cityofmlt.com.
