Members of the 2012-13 Mountlake Terrace High School wrestling team began their fundraising efforts on Saturday for the upcoming season. The team is raising money to offset the costs of student fees, equipment and travel expenses; the squad hopes to send eight wrestlers and two coaches to a tournament in Reno during Winter Break in late December.
Hawk wrestlers, coached by Kanoe Vierra, begin their season Nov. 30 with a double duel match against Edmonds-Woodway and Lynnwood at Edmonds-Woodway High School.
