Boys Cross Country: At the Wesco 3A Conference Meet, Mountlake Terrace placed first with a team score of 70, followed by Glacier Peak 74, Oak Harbor 81, Shorewood 85, Stanwood 105, Shorecrest 150, Everett 197, Meadowdale 206, Marysville-Getchell 244, Marysville-Pilchuck 278. In individual results, MTHS junior Jack Pearce finished second overall with a time of 16:06.5 (5000 meters); senior Yohans Tewolde placed ninth, 16:45.4; junior Wyatt Allemann placed 14th, 17:02.9; junior Peter Kidane placed 17th, 17:09; junior Nathan Sparks placed 28th, 17:24.7.

Girls Cross Country: At the Wesco 3A Conference Meet, Mountlake Terrace placed sixth with a team score of 156; team scores were Glacier Peak 24, Oak Harbor 79, Stanwood 83, Shorecrest 126, Marysville-Getchell 147, Shorewood 185, Meadowdale 203, Everett 219. MTHS freshman Ella Schroth was the team’s top finisher, placing 17th with a time of 20:20.6; sophomore McKenna Hunt placed 18th, 20:52.5; freshman Marie Auch-Schwel placed 32nd, 21:36.9; sophomore Maddie Dallinger placed 37th, 22:04.9; sophomore Jacinta Garcia placed 52nd, 24:23.3.

Girls Soccer: Shorecrest over Mountlake Terrace 4-0. Hawks’ (4-9-1) next match is Monday against Marysville-Getchell at Lynnwood High School at 7:30 p.m.

Girls Volleyball: Meadowdale over Mountlake Terrace, 3-1 (25-15, 25-17, 19-25, 25-11). Hawks’ (7-5) next action is at the Anacortes Tournament on Saturday, Oct. 20, at Anacortes high School beginning at 8:00 a.m.
