Hawks sports roundup: Volleyball team earns win over Scots

The Mountlake Terrace Hawks volleyball team picked up its first victory of the 2019 season on Monday with a 3-2 win over the Shorecrest Scots in a Wesco League match played at Mountlake Terrace High School.

In other Terrace sports on Monday, the Hawks’ boys tennis team fell at home to the Edmonds-Woodway Warriors 5-2 in the team’s regular season finale. Terrace will next see action at the 2A District 1/2 Boys Tennis Tournament that begins on Friday, Oct. 18, at Skagit Valley College in Mount Vernon.
